Those look like late model Mitsubishi Stradas. Rotterdam, Netherlands looks the most like the US in Europe.

So my guess is Netherlands somewhere?

My only problem with this is those are not European style license plates on either vehicle. Also, both appear to be LHD, which nominally rules out the anzac nations. My best guess is that this is Canada (eh?)

Definitely company trucks. Logo on tailgate matches the one on the other truck’s door, safety lights on roof too. Must have shipped them over with other equipment. Probably renting the house for crew.  Any nearby big projects in the works?

There appears to be an American-style green street sign in the background, and the big windows in the house seem a bit Canadian (we use them in the US, too, of course, but that style seems much more popular north of the border). But, Mitsubishi has never sold that generation pickup in Canada, just Mexico. So, my guess is somewhere in the United States - maybe Canada - with a Mexican construction crew either doing work on the property, or renting the house as temporary accommodations for a larger construction/engineering project nearby.

At first I thought they could be some weird hack from body swapping a Mitsubishi Raider. Then I thought maybe these are imported for some special work unit put in the middle of nowhere and have some special exemption plates.

Or maybe there is some weird diplomatic or military thing going on here. IDK maybe just Canada doing its thing.

I don’t recognize the plates, but looks like they could be Mexican? I don’t think any US state does that three element grouping, but it’s common south of the border (though I think the closer truck looks to have XX-XX-XXX while I think most Mexican plates are XXX-XX-XX?)

I'm in dc metro, so sure. But it's not like we're short on contractors, so it'd have to be extremely specialized. But I agree with your assessment.

Gentleman putting something in them said "no English" in very good English, but with a south of Texas accent. Could be Mexican.

Imported work crew seems to be the best answer so far, but I'm dc metro, so strange.

I'm dc metro, so it's gotta be a pretty specialized project to make getting a foreign contractor worth it.

If you zoom enough you realize that it’s not a Mitsubishi logo but a Space force logo.

Hmmm, good points, there are parts of Canada that look very mid-west.

However, I don’t believe the Strada was sold in Canada. Also the license plates don’t look Canadian, unless the photo stretched how the plates look.

Now I’m not sure where it could be, assuming those cars are indeed LHD and we can exclude anzac countries.  That would have been my next guess.

That makes sense.   When I saw folks say they were likely imported with equipment and crews from Mexico, I figured it was the US, likely some place east of the Mississippi..

Mexican plates. This is  their truck plate format.

So you took this photo in the DC area?

I assume maybe some foreign lobbyist backed by a country for some reason had their own crew for something? I don't know how these things work but importing a work crew seems like a power move.

Some sort of highway construction project? Large new  office building in Fairfax Country? Any foreign countries have construction work going on at an off-site diplomatic compound?

So that’s why they looked a little funny and the number sequence was strange . That’s a long way to go on a work visa.

Apparently they are in the DC area in the US with a crew from Mexico.  I was saying Canada since I knew those weren't sold in the states, but I know several interesting cars are sold in Canada that we don't get south of the border (ie Micra).

I'm extremely close to the Saudi embassy, but the guy out front didn't seem Saudi. But maybe? There is both massive metro (subway) and highway construction projects nearby, but is getting foreign contractors for that sort of thing cost effective?

What makes this even more confusing is that this is during a time of restricted travel and events. They seem to have a nice rental house so maybe they are just being paid to weather the storm in the US.

So some months ago there was some specialized decor or something for an event that an ambassador thought called for imported specialists and they got stuck there and put up in a nice rental home. My official guess.

Was this confirmed or was that comment by Cash Awards about DC a joke? Why would a crew from Mexico be in the DC area? I can understand San Diego or parts of Texas, but Washington DC?

I’d figure it would be dependent on a Mexican engineering company putting in the lowest bid for all or part of the job, and sending some of their people to the site?

I don't think having a work crew drive that distance is something that would have happened after February. Maybe it was "so like planes are maybe unclean so why don't yall drive up for this work as a precaution since this virus isn't really all that serious and the show must go on" before they got stranded when the borders closed.

Well, I’m actually just taking Cash Rewards word, though another comment suggested a crew from Mexico (which would explain how work trucks not sold in the US made it stateside).

If these folks are specialists I could see them being brought in even to DC..

Oh gotcha, didn’t read the other post, got caught up. Yeah, I guess that has to be the case.

I live in San Diego, we see a lot of Mexican license plate cars, on closer inspection, those look like Jalisco Mexico plates.

Congratulations, America , y our future is full of Mexicans in Mitsubishi’s!! However, like all good invasions, you don’t get to drive their vehicles until you defeat them in a harmless sporting match.

I would suggest a five game series of Test Cricket.
